a year ago we heard that beautiful bomp bomp bomp bomp. that's right, we heard your heartbeat for the first time ever max. look at your as a little gummy bear and now you're already 5 months old! i guess the old adage is true; time flies when your having fun.

a year later. smiling. laughing. teething like crazy.

ten little fingers and ten little toes.

i love a lot about babies. especially mine. ranking in the top 5 for sure would be newborn smell. you know that weird, familiar "that's a brand new baby" smell? it's yummy and makes your uterus ache? yea..that one. i love it.

but i think, no, no, i know that my absolute favorite thing about a new bitty is there hands and feet. max you have long skinny fingers. you didn't inherit my sausage fingers. and you have feet too tiny for shoes still. nonetheless, they're perfect and i want to eat them. they also happen to be the coldest feet i've ever met, so i have to constantly cover them in socks, totally not fair to have to hide these yummy little delicacies.
